Brief Proifle

Dr. Rama Gupta has been part of the Department of Physics, at DAV University, Jalandhar since August 2014.  She did her MSc in Physics at the Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She did her Ph.D. on the research topic entitled “Study of solitary wave solutions for variants of nonlinear Schrodinger equations” at the Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Her primary research interests include the theoretical study of the various localized waves in nonlinear physical systems, the solicitous/rogue wave solutions of homogeneous and inhomogeneous systems like optical fibers, waveguides, Bose-Einstein condensates, etc.

Currently, she is guiding one Ph.D. Student and has successfully supervised  1 Ph.D.  and 9 M.Sc. Projects.
