Pass with 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Board and the Student will have to qualify compulsory Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.)

 *Approved by NCTE vide letter no.-NRC/NCTENRCAPP-10900/Recognition/269th Meeting(Part-1)/2017

Two Years

·       Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any stream) or equivalent, with at least participation in the Inter-College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India    Or

·         Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 45% aggregate marks and studied physical education as compulsory/ elective subject.

·       Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 45% aggregate marks and having participation in National/Inter-University/state Championship or secured 1st , 2nd and 3rd position in inter college/inter-Zonal/District/school competition in sports and game as recognized by the AIU/IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India  OR

·       Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competition or secured 1st ,2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University Championship in sports and game as recognized by the respective federation/ AIU/IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India.

·       Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in service candidates).

Along with the above mentioned criteria the Student will have to qualify compulsory Physical Efficiency Test

Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.)

NRC/NCTE/NRCAPP-201615069/Recognition/269th Meeting(Part-8)/2017

Two Years

·       Pass with 50% marks in the B.P.Ed. Degree/or B.Sc. degree in Health & Physical Education (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST).

Along with the above mentioned criteria the Student will have to qualify compulsory Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Post Graduate Diploma In Yoga (PGDY)

One Year

Graduation with any stream

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

(Full-Time/Part-Time)

Minimum three year

·       Master's in Physical Education degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Government/Commission from time to time.

Along with the above mentioned criteria the Student will have to qualify Written test followed by viva-voce

The candidates who have qualified/received UGC (NET/JRF) will be exempted from Ph.D eligibility entrance test.

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rule of central Government/state Government, whichever is applicable.
