Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur apart from being an administrator par excellence is an accomplished legal scholar in criminal law and access to justice. The area of specialization are Criminal law, Human Rights, Family Law and clinical legal education. Her special interests include legal aid and legal literacy programmes as well. She received Degree of LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She has supervised fifty LL.M. candidates, published many research articles in leading journals and conference proceedings and authored books.

She is a member of many professional bodies like Law Council of Australia , Bar Council of India, New Delhi, Punjab & Haryana High Court , District Bar Association ,Ludhiana.

She has been invited by various Law schools across the country to share her vast experience in legal education. Apart from these she has been invited by the All India Radio and Jalandhar Doordarshan to deliver several talks on legal and other issues.

The philanthropic aspect of her personality is well reflected by her in-depth involvement in conducting various legal aid activities for women, children and other deprived sections of society. She is also actively involved with the gender justice programme. She is a committed humanitarian, a teacher par excellence and a versatile administrator.
