Department of Psychology Department Highlights
  • A. Psychology course offers specialization in Organizational Psychology, Child Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Psychology of Exceptional, Emotions, Industrial Psychology, Psychology of Adolescence, Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Intelligence and Creativity, Developmental Psychopathology, Environmental Psychology, Educational Psychology. Special emphasis is given to counseling and mental health.
  • Department organised a six day Faculty Development Programme on “ Psychometric Testing and Behavioral Assessment” from 22nd -27th January, 2018 so as to provide training to teachers, counselors and students about administration, scoring and interpretation of Psychometric tests.
  • A two day workshop on “Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)” is organized by the Department of Psychology to deal rationally with the real life problems on March 6-7, 2018.
  • Seminar on “How to eradicate examination fear and anxiety through Neuro-Linguistic Programming” was organized.
  • Subjects on Teaching and Research Aptitude, Research Methodology are taught to the students which help in enhancing professional skills in the students.
  • Educational visits to mental health institutes, clinics, hospitals, NGOs, rehabilitation centers, case studies provide practical exposure for understanding contemporary psychological issues.
  • Students get the opportunity to interact with experts in order to gain an understanding of the subject.
