Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2013. It aims to produce quality professionals in Electronics and Communication Engineering to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging areas by forging strong industry-institute interaction. The broad and multidisciplinary thrusts of the Department have proved to be a significant in meeting the demands of the industry. The thrust areas of the Department are Optical Communication, Signal Processing and Communication, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Microwave Absorption and Stealth technologies.

In the Department of ECE, each faculty is engaged in imparting the best knowledge to students. The wide variety of courses is taught by highly qualified and experienced faculty who also are researchers in their specialized domain. The Department has specialists from the fields of Device Electronics, Signal Processing, Microwave and Optical Engineering, Wireless Communication, Embedded Systems and VLSI Design. The curricula are rigorously designed while keeping the industrial demands in mind. Well-equipped laboratories along with extensive practical work ensure the student receives a well-rounded education.

The Department has adequate academic as well as research infrastructure which include latest equipment and software tools in laboratories. We have state of the art laboratories to provide hands on experiences and support research activities viz. Analog & Digital Electronics Lab, Communication systems Lab, Signal Processing Lab, Microwave Engineering Lab, VLSI Design Lab.

The Department has Veteran faculty to develop skills in the students through workshops, short-term training programs and discussions.
