Students are exposed to real world applicability of microorganisms through regular industrial visits and educational trips to institutions like CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh; NIPER, Mohali and CRI, Kasauli etc.
The department organized national conference on “Emerging Trends in Host-Microbe Interactions” at DAV University, Jalandhar.
Our students have been placed in various Biotechnological, Food and Pharmaceutical companies like Tata Beverages, Ranbaxy, Panacea Biotech, Nestle, Dr Lal PathLabs, Verka, Multi-speciality hospitals and various research and educational institutes.

Our students have secured top ranks in various state and national level competitive entrance examinations.
The Department maintains a vibrant atmosphere by regularly organizing events like Science Fest, Youth Flair, Fresher’s welcome, Farewell and Teachers day celebrations etc.
