Thespians is the drama club of DAV University, Jalandhar. It was established to promote the creativity and innovation of students through the art of drama andhelp the budding artists attain a better mastery of language, develop poise and self-confidence, and appreciate dramatic literature and its techniques.
The club membersare quite passionate about drama and its power to uplift the society; they believe in ‘art for society’s sake’. The club organizes Stage Plays, Street Plays, Mono-acting, Mime, Mimicry, and Skits to throw light on the contemporary social problems and suggest possible remedies for the same.

Achievements
Thespians were the cynosure of all eyes in various intra- and inter- university events. The Chandigarh University Fest of the year 2014 witnessed the dramatic skills of Thespians, who performed a street play on ‘Old-Age Homes’. Stand-Up Comedy was another event thatdrew loud applause in the same fest. The audience roared with laughter. The students also performed and won laurels in NIT Fest 2014, CGC Landran Fest 2014, NIT Fest 2015, etc.
