A webinar on stock market was organized for the final year undergraduate students of the department of Commerce, Business Management and Economics (CBME) on 7-10-2021. Mr.  Aseem Guneja and his team, experts from “Stock Pathshala”, a leading financial services providing organization addressed the students. Ms. Pallavi Rattan  , Assistant Professor, CBME department welcomed the resource persons.  Mr. Guneja told the students about intraday trading, investing do’s and don’ts, forex trading etc.

Why invest in the stock market? A question which allures young minds was elaborated by the resource person. He told students the different benefits of investing in the stock market. Concept clarity was given related to stock exchange in India. The difference between Nifty 50 and Sensex was explained in detail. Stock brokers and their types like full service, discount brokers and bank based brokers were elaborated. Trading segments like commodity, mutual funds, Initial Public Offering (IPO), bonds, equity, derivatives were discussed. The risks and benefits associated with investment measures were shared with students. Students interacted online with the resource persons and asked different questions related to investment, stock market and crypto currency. The students showed great interest in learning about the stock market and various investment measures. Dr. Namrita Kalia, Assistant Professor, CBME department thanked the resource persons for providing insights about stock market concepts and opportunities. Dr. Girish Taneja, HoD, CBME Department and other faculty members were also present in the session.
