DAV University Jalandhar and Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education agreed to build cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This MoU was signed by Dr. Yeshbeer Singh Head of the Department of Physical Education (the authorized representative of DAV University) and Prof. S. Mukharjee, Vice-Chancellor LNIPE Gwalior.

The vice-chancellor of DAV University Dr. Jasbir Rishi congratulated the department. She said that this MoU is a form of mutual commitment in complementing each other's duties and function in the perspective of Institutional duties and development, particularly in the students learning and research development in Physical education and sports.

Dr. K.N Kaul, officiating Registrar, appreciated the work. He assumed that the MoU will be very fruitful for our university and also for the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education. Dr. R K Seth, Dean academics said, DAV University, Jalandhar is promoted by DAV College Managing Committee which is India's single largest non-government educational organization managing more than 900 institutions in the country. The University traces its roots to the legacy that has been reforming and redefining India's educational scenario for 135 years.

Dr. Singh from the department of Physical Education said that Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior is a NAAC A++ accredited with category –I deemed to be University and granted 12 B status by UGC. This Institute is also a member of the International Association of Physical culture and sports University. The occasion was witnessed by Dr. A. S. Sajwan, Registrar LNIPE, Dr. L.N. Sarkar, Dean Academics LNIPE, Dr. Vivek Pandey, HOD, Dept. Of Exercise Physiology LNIPE, Dr. Yajuvendra Singh Rajput, Associate Prof. and extension officer LNIPE.
