Green Chemistry Workshop
A one day workshop on “Green Chemistry practices in education, research and industry” was organized by the Department of Chemistry, DAV University, on 23rd August 2018, in collaboration with Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC), New Delhi. The main speaker of the event, Prof. R.K. Sharma from Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, co-ordinator of GCNC and also the Honorary Secretary of Royal Society of Chemistry, London, North India Section, shared his valuable knowledge on the subject with almost 400 students who attended the event.
DAV University hosts two day workshop on PYTHON
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of DAV University organized a two- day workshop on Python. Mr. Varun Jain, CTO, ACADVIEW, who has an experience of over 7 years in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, educated the students on the uses and advantages of python. In a detailed session, he explained to the students the workings of some of his major projects while also showcasing them.

Internationally certified Psychotherapist holds workshop at DAV University
Internationally certified Psychotherapist Dr Shreya Pahwa said that various personal and psychological problems including anxiety, depression, family conflict, trauma and panic attacks have been adversely affecting people across different age groups. These problems badly affect people mentally and physically and lead to their behavioral dysfunction.

Faculty Development Programe on Psychometric Testing at DAV University
A one week Faculty Development Programme on “Psychometric Testing” was formally inaugurated at DAV University, Jalandhar today. The programme, an initiative of the department of psychology, aims to teach counsellors, psychologists, teachers, teacher trainees, and other professionals about the administration, scoring, and interpretation of various psychometric tests like intelligence, personality, aptitude, attitude and projective tests.
