Department of Physics

The Department of Physics was established in 2013 with a vision to set a stage for designing the future of aspiring students for their success in this challenging world. To cater to the demands in the field of education, research, and industry, the department provides quality education to its students. The curriculum is upgraded from time to time with an aim to provide knowledge to the students in key research areas such as Theoretical Plasma Physics, Theoretical Nuclear Physics, Nonlinear Optics, Liquid Crystals, Thin films, Chalcogenides, Nanotechnology, Nanomagnetism, Photovoltaic, and Space Technologies.

 The department boasts of its well-qualified faculty members who have received their doctoral degrees from reputed institutes/universities such as IITs, NITs, PU, KUK, GNDU, TU as well as from abroad (Canada). The faculty members of the department have published more than 50 research papers in various peer-reviewed international journals during the last five years. The department has been awarded national and international projects of more than Rs. 1 Crore.

The Department has state-of-the-art lecture halls. It has four well-equipped labs for BSc., MSc. and BTech. students. In addition, there is one project lab for MSc. students. Department offers high-tech facilities for performing advanced experiments. The faculty of the department puts in its best efforts, utilizing modern teaching methodologies and research facilities.
